CRM from Lasso Picked for Equine Center

Vancouver-based CRM Vendor Lasso Data Systems, specializing products for the real estate industry, reportedly announced that Equine Management Services, a vendor of equine-themed communities, has selected Lasso as its enterprise CRM.
(Please tell me this reporter isn’t the only one to see the total tonnage of bad punnage lying in wait here. I, for one, shall manfully resist.)
EMS is the master developer of the mega 200 acre residential project, Escape, located in Ajman, United Arab Emirates.
According to Anwer Sher, co-founder and managing director of EMS, his company evaluated several CRM systems before settling on Lasso.
“Lasso provides the functionality that we need for marketing and customer service for Escape and our upcoming equine projects,” Sher said.
A couple months ago TMCnet reported that Lasso Data Systems implemented (the eminently less pun-able) StrongMail product.
The “number one feature” of Web-based real estate software is “its ability to handle large volumes of e-mail,” said Rick Talbot, vice president of client services for Lasso at the time. “With StrongMail, we have complete control of our on-premise product, allowing us to achieve full integration with Lasso software.”
Prior to StrongMail, Lasso relied on an in-house developed mass mail product that had limited reporting capabilities. Lasso’s R&D team knew how many e-mails were sent, opened, and invalid, but they could not see why or how many e-mails were blocked or bounced.
Located 30 minutes from downtown Dubai, Escape will comprise more than 500 “Arabian and Mediterranean-influenced” villas, saddle home duplexes, and 16 low-to-medium rise apartment buildings to be constructed and sold over the next two years.
Escape will also be home to a 150-room boutique hotel, an equestrian center for 200 horses with spa and therapy center, several multipurpose sports arenas and the HoofbeatZ Center.
Yes, I thought you’d ask: The HoofbeatZ Center “will become the heart of the entire Escape community, comprised of educational equine-themed games, entertainment, and world-class horse training programs.”
And that’s as much as this reporter knows.
