With the proliferation of Avaya systems throughout contact centers worldwide, a solution compatible with Avaya practically guarantees its quick adoption throughout the market. Envox Worldwide (News - Alert) is hoping the true can be said for their solution.

Envox, a provider of voice solutions, has announced that Envox CT Connect 7, the company’s standards-based computer telephony integration (CTI) software, has been compliance-tested by Avaya (News - Alert) for compatibility with the company’s Internet Protocol (IP) telephony and contact center solutions.

With the Envox CT Connect, application developers and systems integrators can create speech self-service, contact center and unified communications solutions for IP and TDM networks. The software is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya Communications 3.1.2 IP telephony software.

"Envox CT Connect is one of the world's leading CTI software products, and our customers have been using it in combination with Avaya switches for many years with great success," said Mark D. Flanagan, president and CEO of Envox Worldwide., in a Monday statement.” Achieving Avaya compliance is yet another example of the continued efforts by our respective organizations to create best-in-class communication solutions for contact centers."

Envox CT Connect provides support for leading OBX, Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) and IP communication environments. Envox CT Connect is based on industry standards, such as Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) (SIP) and Computer Supported Telecommunications Applications (CSTA).

Through open standards, applications developers and systems integrators can add CTI capabilities to speech self-service, contact center and unified communications solutions at lower costs than ever before.

"By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like Envox Worldwide who are members of our DeveloperConnection (News - Alert) program, Avaya promotes interoperable solutions that are easier and more cost-effective for companies to implement within their existing, multi-vendor networks," said Eric Rossman, vice president of developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya, in Monday’s statement.

The benefits that Envox CT Connect can provide to organizations using Avaya solutions are such that these companies will sit up and take notice. Avaya compatibility will only help to propel this investigation as well as implementation throughout the industry.
