Three independent online music stores have selected ClickandBuy for its international digital payments platform. The merchants are Icarus Music Store, Gambit Music Group and BeatRecords.

ClickandBuy’s international digital payments platform is available in 13 European countries and the U.S.

The online music stores selected ClickandBuy for its hosted digital commerce system and its ability to provide different types of payment methods, including yearly subscriptions, micropayments, or single downloads of songs.

The company points out that a global consumer base of seven million users allows merchants to instantly gain access to new markets that give them the ability to expand their own market share.

ClickandBuy aggregates transactions for merchants and thus helps digital music companies save up to 50 percent on each transaction. The company also ensures secure transactions and multicurrency capabilities for several currencies.

In addition to managing the payment process, ClickandBuy offers live customer support for consumers, credit card fraud detection, monthly invoicing and easy implementation of various payment methods.

Additionally, ClickandBuy processes, handles and manages digital content for games, songs, movies, streaming video, podcasts, VoIP calls, television, publishing and mobile devices.

“Small and growing businesses in the digital media industry need a company such as ours to ensure safe and secure transactions,” said Fabian G. Siegel, CTO of ClickandBuy in a press release.

“Most smaller merchants don’t have an internal IT department for eCommerce and this is where ClickandBuy can help,” he added.

Many brand names such as Apple iTunes and Skype utilize ClickandBuy for digital payments. In 2006, the company received $23 million in venture funding.Deutsche Telekom (News - Alert) bought a 10 percent stake in ClickandBuy in August 2006.

Located in Europe and North America the ClickandBuy Group helps major companies from all over the world increase their digital content and mobile media revenues. Besides providing services directly to merchants, Click&Buy has established licensing agreements with telecom companies Swisscom and TELMEX.
