As President, Enterprise Networks at Siemens AG’s Information and Communication Networks (ICN) Group, Bernd Kuhlin is responsible for driving the product development, strategy and vision for the HiPath Product Family. This includes general management of all worldwide activities related to HiPath product development and maintenance as well as coordination with worldwide sales and marketing efforts. He was named to this position in January, 2001.

Previously, Mr. Kuhlin was Vice President, HiPath Corporate Solutions in the Enterprise Networks Division.

Bernd Kuhlin became President of the Enterprise Networks Divison at Siemens Information and Communications Networks in January 2001. The Enterprise Networks Division, based in Munich, Germany, is a global organization with business in most of the 160 ICN countries, totaling EUR 4.7 billion in sales for the current business year

Bernd Kuhlin's studies in communications engineering at the University of Erlangen/Nuremberg were followed by a two-year trainee program at Siemens, starting in 1984. Four years spent in strategic consulting, including an eighteen month period in the USA, then led Kuhlin, in 1990, to a position as Product Manager Data Network and, later, as Sales Director Network Systems.

From 1995-8 Kuhlin served as Vice President Home Automation at Bosch Siemens Home Appliances, whereupon he became Senior Vice President at Siemens' Network LAN Division in March 1999. As one of the founders of the HiPath Enterprise Architecture, Bernd Kuhlin leaded the EN HiPath Corporate Solutions division from April, 2000 until December 2000.
