Apptix CFO Tapped as Finalist for Washington Business Journal Award

Apptix, a provider of hosted Microsoft Exchange e-mail and Microsoft SharePoint, recently announced that Chris Mack (News - Alert), its chief financial officer, has been named a finalist for the Washington Business Journal’s CFO of the Year Award.
The CFO of the Year award honors financial professionals in the greater Washington, DC area for their outstanding performance as corporate financial stewards. Winners will be profiled in a special supplement of the Dec. 4 edition of the Washington Business Journal.

In addition to hosted Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange e-mail and Microsoft, Apptix, a unified communications provider, also specializes in hosted VoIP phone and Web conferencing services. The company has reported an uptick in demand, which demonstrates that companies are recognizing that hosted services help businesses achieve operational efficiencies in support of business initiatives.
In a recent interview with TMCnet, Apptix Vice President of Sales and Marketing Chris Damvakaris (News - Alert) said there would be a bright future ahead for UC services adoption as companies replace legacy communication systems and better position themselves for the economic recovery.
