At the Intersection IoT & Web: Where Javascript Opens Doors for Engineering Collaboration

Steve Reubenstone gets up every day and walks to work in Soho at a hyper-cool WeWork shared space on Varick Street in NYC. The space that acts as the home of Collaborizm resembles a large trading floor with rows and rows of people staring into monitors and inventing the future.

Why You Need to Know: Dozens of IoT inventions are being launched and built every week on Collaborizm, a rapidly growing, global online community of engineers, developers and creatives who help each other make and connect things. And they do it for free, on what may be one of the world's most interesting open source platforms for human creativity.

Apple Goes Social with Video Editing App

With Apple's hardware business slowing, the company is looking to capitalize on the popularity of social networks. Jason Mamoa Flawlessly Markets New Guinness Beer

Earlier this week, Jason Momoa caused some major headlines after posting an Instagram photo of himself in a bar with Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. For those of you who aren't fans of the show, Jason Mamoa played the beloved Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones before being killed off during season one. It was very traumatic, and will always be too soon to talk about.

Why You Need to Know: Momoa's appearance in Ireland, where scenes from the show are filmed, alongside Benioff and Weiss sent fans into a tizzy. Some fans claimed that the meeting was about Khal Drogo making a reappearance on the show via flashbacks. Who would've thought that a simple bar photo would cause such an uproar? Well, maybe that's what Momoa had planned all along.
