snom announced on Tuesday that snom has become a Digium (

Alert) Premier Interoperability Partner.
The snom suite of VoIP phones, comprised of the snom 360 and snom 320, have successfully completed interoperability validation with Digium’s Asterisk Business Edition. Snom’s SIP-based family of IP phones can be a good choice for serve small, medium and large enterprises in a range of business contexts. The devices provide access to the feature sets of Asterisk IP PBX.
“By partnering with innovative companies like snom, we can offer the business community more options and features when building high-end telephony systems based on Asterisk,” said Jim Webster, Digium’s director of software technologies, in a statement. “We look forward to working together with snom to expand the VoIP market and at the same time communicate the important role open source will play in the telecom market.”
Digium made a similar announcement back in January when it
selected IP PBX provider Switchvox to participate in the Digium Partner Program. As the creator of Asterisk, open source telephony provider Digium developed its Partner Program to propel the growing network of Asterisk and the demand for open source telephony platforms.
As a premier partner, Switchvox is now listed and promoted on the partner section of the Digium
Web site. The company gains access to Digium sales channels through current and future customer referrals. Switchvox now has the option to have its products Digium-certified. The partner program also gives Switchvox the ability to participate in joint marketing campaigns and the right to use Digium and Asterisk logos in marketing material.
