Designed for resellers and installers of conventional CPE-based systems who are looking for a way to offer hosted VoIP services, IPsmarx (News - Alert) Technology announced the launch of the RAPID IP-PBX system this week at ITEXPO East 2012 in Miami.

Company officials describe RAPID IP-PBX (News - Alert) as an “all-in-one” platform for delivering VoIP services to the SMB market.

RAPID IP-PBX allows traditional telephony resellers to support their customersfrom the cloud, without having to purchase, manage or maintain on-site hardware, according toArash Vahidnia, president and CEO of IPsmarx.

“This solution is a complete service provider package, opening the doors to new business and new revenue streams delivering much more than just phone systems,” Vahidnia said in a company statement.

With the ever-increasing demand for cloud-based telephony, Vahidnia said VoIP service providers need better ways to administer, deploy and manage their offerings. Service providers looking to deliver hosted IP-PBX solutions to their customers typically face very expensive start-up costs or used systems that lacked in necessary features and manageability.

Annual growth of 14 percent suggests that now is the time to start a VoIP business, Ashley Kurpel, marketing manager at IPsmarx, said in a recent company blog post.

“With the number of Internet and smartphone users predicted to dramatically increase in 2012, if you’ve been thinking about starting your own calling card or VoIP business, now is the time,” Kurpel said.

RAPID IP-PBX includes an integrated billing solution that handles call-based accounting, an ecommerce solution, an invoicing package – as well as an optional integrated smartphone application. RAPID IP-PBX can be used to service small companies with as few as two extensions to organizations with thousands of extensions worldwide, according to company officials.

The product is being offered at an introductory price for a 25-user system by 888Voip. Optional packages include expansion, a call center package, an enhanced routing package (Least Cost Routing, Hunt-Stop and Route Suspension, Multi-Dial Plans), redundancy package, and Breeze, a custom branded Mobile VoIP application for smartphones.
