Numerex Intros Next Generation M2M Service Delivery Platform

Numerex (News - Alert) Corp., a company offering machine-to-machine (M2M) products and services, has unveiled Numerex FAST (News - Alert) 3.0, cloud-based M2M platform with expanded service features and capabilities.

Dr. Jeffrey O. Smith, chief technical officer at Numerex, said that Numerex FAST 3.0 is a managed service platform with all the necessary functionality for rapid solution development and deployment which can be adapted to their customers' needs and requirements upon request.

This new version boosts scalability and flexibility, and is incorporated with three service delivery options which can be accessed independently or as a fully integrated solution: Network as a Service (NaaS); Platform as a Service (PaaS); and Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)).

Numerex NaaS is built to offer intelligent connectivity and also integrates a variety of cellular, satellite, wired, Wi-Fi and short range wireless options together with critical add-on functionality such as automated activation and provisioning, policy and threshold management, and fraud detection.

The Numerex PaaS is for M2M partners who want to avoid upfront capital expenditures, minimize risk, and benefit from immediate availability of proven production capabilities. It even offers an environment through which they can easily and rapidly develop, run and test their applications.

Numerex has brought in a user-friendly customer portal within FAST 3.0, Numerex Passport, which provides seamless access to critical solution management information as well as all Numerex M2M services including customer care.
