CosmoCom, HP Deliver Unified Contact Center and Media PlatformBy Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributing Editor A recent global reseller agreement between CosmoCom and HP will provide enterprises and telecom service providers with a unified contact center and media platform.
CosmoCall Universe will be integrated and sold with HP OpenCall Media Platform and the partners expect the integrated solution will help companies reduce costs and time-to-market as their contact centers handle customer inquiries through live operations and automated voice response systems.
As a global reseller of CosmoCom’s (News - Alert) CosmoCall Universe (CCU), an all-Internet Protocol (IP) contact center platform, HP will enable its direct sales force and its channel partners to resell CCU worldwide integrated with the HP OpenCall Media Platform (HP OCMP).
The HP OpenCall Media Platform, an advanced, IP-based media server, integrates easily with existing network architectures. This capability allows service providers to rapidly capitalize on a number of business opportunities such as large-scale interactive voice response (IVR) applications, unified communications, contact centers and entertainment services.
Customers using the HP OpenCall Media Platform with CCU will be able to develop contact centers more rapidly and deploy them more securely.
According to Daniel Hong, lead analyst of Customer Interaction Technologies at Datamonitor, the reseller agreement between CosmoCom and HP benefits both the companies as Cosmocom broadens its channel with HP, while HP gains a product line that complements its OpenCall Media Platform.
Echoing Hong’s thoughts, Ari Sonesh, CosmoCom CEO said that both companies will benefit as HP and its global reseller channels address major enterprise and carrier opportunities.
Jean-Pierre Allegre, manager, Rich Communication Product Management, Communications and Media Solutions, HP noted that this agreement will allow the service providers to deploy carrier-grade contact centers at lower cost and in less time.
“HP is committed to helping service providers deliver the highest quality customer support, both self-service and live response,” he added.
