A provider of semiconductor production equipment, TEL made the cut owing to its outstanding technical support and expertise in Spansion's front-end technologies.
Spansion specializes in enabling, storing and protecting digital content in wireless, automotive, networking and consumer electronics applications.
STATSChipPAC, a service provider of semiconductor packaging design, bump, probe, assembly, test and distribution solutions, and Toppan, a premier photomask provider, also made the list for Spansion’s Best-in-Class suppliers for 2007. STATSChipPAC was recognized for its support of Spansion's assembly requirements and Toppan for its partnership excellence in developing next generation photomasks.

We are pleased to recognize these top performers for improving quality and technical expertise during the past year," said Ajit Manocha, executive vice president of Worldwide Operations at Spansion. "Our collaboration and partnership with these world-class suppliers allows us to maintain a significant competitive advantage and are vital to helping Spansion deliver superior quality and value to its end customers."
Through its World Class Supplier (WCS) program, Spansion recognizes its suppliers for commendable performance in the areas of technology, quality, flexibility and service. Earlier, the company had honored TEL with the World Class Supplier Achievement Award for 2006.

Sixteen other companies were given Achievement Awards for their contribution to Spansion.
