CommScope Provides Network Infrastructure for New Stadium in Texas

CommScope is providing a sophisticated, high-performance and world-class communications infrastructure to the Dallas Cowboys’ new stadium in Arlington, Texas.
 
CommScope is furnishing and installing advanced connectivity solutions through its Enterprise Solutions and Andrew Solutions businesses. These solutions are expected to support the stadium’s core operations and communications requirements for fans, staff and public safety officials.



 
The Club is scheduled to open June 2009. Jerry Jones, owner and general manager, Dallas Cowboys Football Club said that they were searching for an advanced communications network that could address their current and future needs. He appreciates CommScope for providing them with a fine high-performance networks that addresses all their needs.
 
CommScope’s officials claim that Dallas Cowboys Football Club will use their SYSTIMAX high-performance network solutions to create the world’s largest internet protocol television (IPTV (News - Alert)) installation. The solutions will also help them to operate the stadium’s data center and other technical operations.
 
The stadium will also feature an extensive in-building wireless communications network from Andrew, a company that specializes in solving technical challenges posed in providing coverage and capacity solutions in stadiums, subways, airports, skyscrapers and related structures
 
Andrew’s network will provide complete cellular coverage in Dallas Cowboys Football Club and its surrounding property for all spectators and team officials, coaching staff, employees and public safety agencies.
 
Brian Garrett, president and chief operating officer, CommScope indicated that this stadium is the one of the most prominent examples to date of CommScope’s capabilities to support customers with multiple application requirements, in this case wireless and enterprise connectivity infrastructure.
 
“The Jones family did a fantastic job of creating a stadium where sports and entertainment meet technology,” said Randy Crenshaw, executive vice president and general manager, CommScope Enterprise Solutions. “The CommScope network will play a major role in providing all who enter the stadium with a unique interactive experience, while supporting the operations needs of the Dallas Cowboys organization.”
