We're seeing cloud-based business communications increasingly being offered on a global basis, based on open platforms, featuring team collaboration, and leveraging artificial intelligence. That's the word from Curtis Peterson, senior vice president of cloud operations at RingCentral, during his keynote address this morning at ITEXPO in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Steven Woodward, Cloud Perspectives CEO, will be presenting at ITEXPO this week during a session titled Cloud Connectivity: Consumer, Provider and Broker Implications on Thurs., Feb. 9 at 2:30 p.m. The session will look at typical cloud brokering scenarios and the various cloud options as well as dive into how SDN and NFV can be used to help solve challenges.
The last two decades have been marked with tremendous growth of e-commerce. Its popularity and simplicity changed the way we see and do business today. New technological solutions emerge every year and e-commerce business owners need to keep up with the developments in order to prevent falling behind their competitors. The rise of cloud computing created a whole new world of options.
Hybrid cloud is set to be one of the biggest, most valuable technology opportunities for enterprises in the Middle East in 2017 and looking ahead over the next few years. To take advantage of this opportunity, enterprises must apply the same principles they utilize in maintaining multiple data centres to data storage in the cloud - whereby a single cloud will no longer suffice.
There's no denying it - cloud has arrived. Cloud technology has seen adoption grow rapidly in recent years and is expected to be even bigger business. Forrester expects public cloud services to be worth $236 billion by 2020 and, if the new year hasn't sunk in yet, that's just three years away.
