TeleHealth Becomes Strategic Partner Reseller of GE Healthcare

TeleHealth Services, a provider of on-demand patient education and communication solutions, has become a strategic partner reseller of GE Healthcare Monitoring Solutions nurse call and communication systems including Telligence, a platform designed for healthcare facilities to address patient communication challenges.


In a release, TeleHealth officials said that by leveraging each organization's services and collective capabilities, GE Healthcare and TeleHealth will deliver comprehensive healthcare communication solutions.

TeleHealth further enhances the offering by combining comprehensive consultation, design and implementation services simplifying the installation process, while engineering the proper solution.

"The combination of each company's industry-leading solutions creates an extremely valuable offering that addresses some of today's most complex healthcare issues for patient safety and quality of care," said Steve Sholtis, TeleHealth Services' VP of Hospital Communications Systems (News - Alert), in the release.

Sholtis said that by bringing together visual controls, TeleHealth's process improvement methodologies and GE's global expertise in change management will enable healthcare organizations to achieve higher patient, physician and staff satisfaction, improve quality of care and increase nurse efficiency.

“By virtue of this relationship with GE Healthcare, we can bring these concepts to help hospitals create a more efficient, higher quality and safer patient care environment," he added.

Back in May TeleHealth Services had announced the implementation of its TIGR on-demand video education and entertainment system into Timpanogos Regional Hospital in Orem, Utah.

Timpanogos recently expanded and renovated its facility, adding two new floors and 54,461 square feet to better meet the needs of the Orem community.

The new space includes a 20 bed Intensive Care/Cardiac Care unit and 48 private medical, surgical and pediatric patient rooms.

As part of the patient and family focused expansion, Timpanogos implemented an interactive patient education system based on a 12 year relationship with TeleHealth Services.
