VistaOne Partners with Convergence Technology to Provide Virtualization and Consolidation SolutionsBy Jyothi Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributing Editor Richmond, VA-based VistaOne Corporation, provider of wide area network optimization and acceleration solutions, has reportedly entered in to strategic marketing partnership with Convergence Technology Consulting to provide the total package to customers looking for comprehensive virtualization and consolidation solutions. VistaOne specializes in optimizing enterprise application performance over corporate networks and the Internet, with a focus on Riverbed (News - Alert) and Blue Coat products, services and training. Under the latest agreement, VistaOne will utilize its expertise in Riverbed Technologies, manufacturer of Steelhead Appliances, to allow data from consolidated virtual servers and storage systems to traverse the Wide Area Network at LAN-like speeds. And Convergence Technology's integration expertise, centered on server virtualization industry leaders Citrix, VMware and Microsoft (News - Alert); and storage specialists NetApp, Dell/EqualLogic and LeftHand Networks, will provide comprehensive solution sets to clients involved in virtual infrastructure initiatives. Both the companies expect to provide their customers with the efficiencies that server, desktop and storage consolidation/virtualization offer, as well as the ability to enhance enterprise application performance across the WAN. Convergence (News - Alert) Technology Consulting recently announced that it is one of the first companies in the United States to achieve Microsoft’s Virtualization Specialization certification under the Advanced Infrastructure Competency. “There is no doubt that Convergence has and continues to be a committed leader in the Virtualization space,” said Phil Ernst, CEO/CTO of Convergence Technology Consulting, in a statement. “We feel privileged Microsoft asked us to be one of the first companies to go through the approval process.
