Rivermine to Host Webinar on Wireless Expense Management
By Mae Kowalke, TMCnet Associate Editor
Only a few years ago, wireless communications wasn’t even a category on the budgets of most enterprises. Today, these expenses are quickly skyrocketing and therefore becoming a big problem for enterprises. Managing all the devices, service plans, internal processes and help desk support needed for wireless communications can be both expensive and time-consuming.
But, it needn’t be.
To help enterprises get a handle on this new expense category, telecom expense management firm Rivermine is hosting an Aberdeen ( News - Alert) Group Webinar on Oct. 3, 2007. The Webinar will discuss all aspects of wireless expense management best practices and market trends. By attending, enterprises will learn how they can become one of the best-in-class organizations that efficiently manages wireless communications expenses.
Guest speakers for the Webinar will be John Mazur and Philippe Winthrop from Aberdeen Research and John Shea from Rivermine ( News - Alert). These speakers will explain how enterprises can save money and become more efficient in the way they manage wireless expenses.
Webinar participants will receive a free copy of a recently-published Aberdeen report on this topic.
Just how much money can enterprises save by adopting best-practices for wireless expense management? One example that illustrates potential savings is data from Aberdeen showing that best-in-class organizations spend an average of $72.40 per user per month on wireless services, while other organizations spend $124.50.
Best-in-class organizations also, Aberdeen reports, manage 97 percent of their wireless expenses, compared to less proactive organizations that on average manage only 20 percent of such costs. Proactive companies also end up, on average, needing to hire two times fewer full-time employees to manage device fulfillment and help desk support for mobile workers.
The free Webinar takes place Oct. 3, 2007, from 1:30-2:15 p.m. EDT. Advance registration is required. To sign up or for more information, click here.
