HulloMail Unveils iPhone Application

By Raju Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor

If you thought sending long distance, overseas voicemails resulted in hefty bills, think again. HulloMail has reportedly unveiled an iPhone application that lets users in the U.S and U.K send quick voice messages (known as 'Hullos') without placing a live call or incurring a long-distance charge.

HulloMail lets users handle their voicemail from virtually any mobile device, standard landline phone or email account, no matter which operator they use. It’s free and it incorporates all the immediacy of email to create new, more user efficient “voice-e-mails”
'Hullos' lets users of HulloMail talk using voice messages and even reply to their voicemails. HulloMail developers believe that this new form of free digital audio messaging is destined to permanently change voice communication for the smartphone generation because of its zero cost.
“The iPhone (News - Alert) is the ultimate smart phone communications device,” Andy Munarriz, founder and CEO of HulloMail, said. “And HulloMail is the most advanced voice messaging complement to that technology on the market today. With the incorporation of 'Hullos,' our iPhone app takes visual voicemail to an entirely new level, delivering a powerful new twist on the voice messaging experience that will change the way wireless users think of voice communication.”
'Hullos' work seamlessly with iPhones and they will be soon available in BlackBerry and Android (News - Alert) platforms. HulloMail subscribers will be able to quickly play a received 'Hullo' message as it will immediately pop up in their mobile app. Other advanced voice communication tools provided in this app include a centralized view and simplified management of their voicemails, missed calls, and voice message synchronization with email compliant accounts.
Recently, the company announced the availability of a new, upgraded version of its integrated BlackBerry (News - Alert) app on the BlackBerry App world micro-site. The app will be available for free download also from the HulloMail Web site. With the new app, HulloMail, the creators of “voice-e-mail” technology, expect to change the way wireless consumers access and manage their voice messages.
