TalkSwitch and Bandwidth.com Offer Full Interoperability for Small Businesses

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

TalkSwitch (News - Alert), a designer and manufacturer of innovative phone systems for small and multi-location businesses, and Bandwidth.com, a nationwide provider of complete business communications solutions, have announced full interoperability between TalkSwitch IP PBXs and the Bandwidth.com network. This development is expected to offer significant benefits for small businesses across the U.S.

The TalkSwitch system is designed to provide all the call handling and routing features to meet the needs of a small business, while Bandwidth.com offers affordable, high-quality voice and data services. The combination of the two companies’ offerings presents businesses with tremendous value.

Users are able to consolidate voice and data over a dedicated Internet Access Circuit, which then maximizes the return on investment on that circuit.

As a result, businesses can reduce costs, gain access to enhanced network services and simplify operations by reducing the number of providers they deal with. In addition, TalkSwitch systems are true hybrids, meaning that small business customers can retain connections to the traditional telephone network without requiring any additional equipment.

"Small businesses want solutions that are easy to use, easy to integrate and easy to manage," said Jan Scheeren, President and CEO, TalkSwitch, in a Tuesday statement.

"That's what's brilliant about a solution featuring TalkSwitch and Bandwidth.com. It's reliable, affordable, powerful and above all, it's very owner-friendly."

"As a Bandwidth.com SIP IP PBX (News - Alert) certified partner, TalkSwitch has exceeded the stringent requirements we place on equipment connecting to our network," said Sean Rivers, Director of Engineering, Partner Services at Bandwidth.com, in Tuesday’s statement.

"They are dedicated to addressing the unique needs of the small business, and have proven products that fit that market. We think that coupling those products with the great calling plans and programs from Bandwidth.com is a perfect solution."

TalkSwitch systems are positioned as being ideal for companies with up to 64 telephone users per location. They also combine the best capabilities of PBX, IP PBX and key phone systems at significant value.

Small Business Computing Magazine recently recognized TalkSwitch as "the absolute best VoIP system for small businesses" in the annual Excellence in Technology Awards.

As the small business sector continues to grow, the demand for solutions such as those offered by TalkSwitch and Bandwidth.com will also continue to grow, creating significant opportunity in the industry. The combination of these two companies produces features and functionality that cater specifically to the needs of these small companies. This fit should help to rapidly drive adoption and eventually market share.
