Yealink Exhibits at ITEXPO, Coming Off a Strong 2010

By David Sims, TMCnet Contributing Editor

IP phone maker Yealink (News - Alert) is currently at ITEXPO, booth 801, as one of the many companies exhibiting at the IP communications conference being held in Miami, Fla., through Friday, Feb. 4.

Yealink Enterprise HD IP phones provide what company officials characterize as affordable SIP telephones with high performance, designed to help businesses use the benefits of VoIP telephone systems. They come with a range of voice codecs, security protection for privacy, and telephony features.

The company is coming off an impressive end to 2010. In November, TMC's (News - Alert) Stefanie Mosca wrote that IP Yealink announced plans to release the latest firmware for its award winning IP phone series -- SIP-T2x.

This new firmware, available for downloading from Yealink’s website, includes a number of advanced features. The T28 and T26 now support two accessory products including the EXP39 LCD Expansion Module and EHS36 Wireless Headset Adapter, which company officials say "will greatly expand the phone functions and bring more convenience for the users."

The V60 Firmware also supports the advanced features for BroadSoft's (News - Alert) latest BroadWorks Release 17.0. Features include Network Conference, SCA, BLF and BLF list. Yealink IP phones are now completely compatible with Broadsoft platform. The combination provides carriers and end users a very cost-effective solution.

About a month ago TMC's resident techspert blogger Tom Keating (News - Alert) reviewed the Yealink VP-2009 color touchscreen videophone.

"I was very impressed with the Yealink VP-2009," Keating wrote. "The video quality was excellent, the touchscreen was very responsive, the speakerphone quality and volume was very good, and this phone just looks good sitting on your desk. I've said it before, but I will reiterate that Yealink is making in-roads into the U.S. IP phone market."

This is now the second Yealink IP phone Keating tested, saying, "I've been very impressed both times. Yealink offers a plethora of features at a very affordable price. In some ways, Yealink is similar to Grandstream, which also offers affordable VoIP products, though Grandstream has a much higher marker awareness in the U.S.... I predict Yealink will have at least 10 percent U.S. marketshare in new IP phones purchased by the end of 2011."

To find out more about Yealink, visit the company at ITEXPO East 2011. To be held Feb. 2-4 in Miami, ITEXPO (News - Alert) is the world’s premier IP communications event. Visit Yealink in booth #801. Don’t wait. Register now.
