GN Netcom Selected for Gold Membership in Avaya DevConnect Program

GN Netcom, a global manufacturer of headset solutions marketed under the Jabra (News - Alert) brand, reportedly has been selected by Avaya Inc., a global provider of business communications applications, systems and services, for membership in the Avaya (News - Alert) DevConnect program.



 
The Avaya DevConnect program promotes the development, compliance-testing and co-marketing of innovative third-party products that are compatible with standards-based Avaya solutions. ‘
 
Separately, Avaya will speak in greater during this week’s ITEXPO show in Miami, held Jan. 20-22, about its new roadmap, and what it means to customers, resellers, carriers or developers.
 
“Membership in Avaya’s developer community will allow GN Netcom to develop deeper integration with Avaya platforms which will lead to an enhanced user experience,” said Chris Briglin, vice president of strategic alliances at GN Netcom, in a statement.
 
Briglin said that building on Avaya resources and GN Netcom’s innovative product development, customers in offices, contact centers and on the road will have a broader portfolio of compliance-tested solutions designed to meet their individual needs and budget requirements.
 
He said that GN Netcom is dedicated to enhancing the user experience by developing unique audio end points that allow customers to appreciate the full collaborative value of unified communications -- regardless of where they work or how they connect to the network. ‘
 
Avaya officials said that as a member of the DevConnect program, companies have access to a wide range of support from the company, including technical resources and training. GN Netcom is a Gold member of the Avaya DevConnect program.
 
“Development partners like GN Netcom are helping Avaya dramatically expand the options available to its customers,” said Eric Rossman (News - Alert), vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya. “We’re able to provide the tools businesses need to change the way they work and to establish a true competitive advantage in the marketplace. They are able to use unified communications applications to make critical information readily available to both employees and customers, regardless of where they are or how they choose to communicate.”
