GotVoice and CallTower Offer Voicemail-to-Text for Businesses

By Arun Satapathy, TMCnet Contributing Editor

GotVoice, Inc., the voice messaging company, along with CallTower, a provider of Software as a Service based Unified Communications (News - Alert) solutions for business, today announced their partnership to bring voicemail-to-text solutions to businesses.

GotVoice’s ability to seamlessly integrate its business-class solution with Microsoft Corporation's Exchange Server enables CallTower's (News - Alert) customers to read their voicemail in email.

CallTower is known for its communications solution based on an end-to-end Cisco (News - Alert) (software and hardware) and Microsoft Unified Communications platform. By integrating GotVoice's G2 voicemail-to-text transcription solution into its existing business and enterprise-class Software as a Service platform, CallTower users will benefit from advanced free-form speech recognition technology by receiving voicemail transcription that is unrivaled by competitors in speed and accuracy. GotVoice's patented communications platform is the first-of-its-kind to unify mobile, home, PBX (News - Alert), VoIP and IP-based PBX voice messages, which allows users to read all of their voicemail at once and from one location.

"Our partnership with GotVoice will further strengthen our platform and ultimately enhance business productivity for our end-users," said Bob Barnes. "At CallTower, we change the way busy professionals communicate – helping them to get their job done, quicker and more efficiently."

"Companies want to go to market with value-add solutions that not only differentiate them from competitors – but also improve the routine of business professionals," said Curt Blake, CEO of GotVoice. "By integrating our high-quality voicemail-to-text offering into their existing platform, IP-based companies can offer customers even more powerful tools to enhance business communications."

The GotVoice G2 (News - Alert) Platform is capable of supporting millions of users with its carrier-grade, high-quality transcription engine built for scalability and capable of interoperating with all major voice and VoIP carriers. The solution has already accessed tens of millions of messages through voicemail servers, including those of AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and AllTel. With GotVoice platform, carriers have an effortless method for delivering their subscribers' voicemail as both text and digital audio files via email, SMS, Web and API, creating additional revenue streams and increased data traffic.
