Ingate Highlighting "SIP Trunking: Everything You Need to Know" Seminars at ITEXPO

 Ingate Systems (News - Alert) is partnering today with Avaya, TMC, and leading IP-PBX vendors and SIP trunking service providers in an effort to educate end-users, resellers, distributors and systems integrators about SIP trunking.

The event, dubbed "SIP Trunking: Everything You Need to Know" seminars, is taking place in the Las Angeles Convention Center at the INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & Expo West 2008. 

"SIP Trunking is the next step in the evolution of enterprise communication, offering enterprises the opportunity to expand the use of SIP to support the protocol's long-term promise of Unified Communications," said Olle Westerberg, chief executive officer, Ingate Systems. 

Free to all ITEXPO (News - Alert) attendees, these seminars will provide a comprehensive overview of SIP trunking, and include general information panels and technical insight sessions from both the service provider and enterprise perspectives. In addition to Ingate's leading vendor and service provider partners, speakers from VOIPSA, ENUM/IETF and the SIP Forum will be participating.

The presentation is expected to cover:

-- Step-by-step, interactive whiteboarding sessions with Avaya to illustrate the what, why and how of SIP trunking architecture

-- Two case study seminars -- one featuring a SIP trunk installation for "American Idol"'s production company, the other on bundled SIP trunk solutions -- to delve deeper into the issues

-- SIP Trunking Boot Camp for "Basic Training" on SIP trunk installations, led by Avaya and Ingate

"These seminars address a critical need among enterprises for in-depth information on SIP trunks. From sessions on security to hands-on technical training to solving specific installation problems taken from our audience, the SIP Trunk Seminars will have it all," said Anne L. In addition, security sessions with VOIPSA will discuss VoIP and SIP trunk security, as well as, a SIPconnect Compliance Workshop, presented by the SIP Forum, will provide an overview of the SIPconnect value proposition, a "Deep Dive" into the SIPconnect technical recommendation, a step-by-step overview of the SIPconnect Compliant Program application process. 

Live demonstrations, during which participants will set up a SIP trunk in 20 minutes or less on-site, will also be featured. 

Attendees can earn a SIP Trunking Professional Certificate by participating in the Professional Development Program on the first day of the Show. 

Speakers include Avaya, BandTel, Bandwidth.com, BroadSoft (News - Alert), Broadvox, Cbeyond, Digium/Asterisk, Iwatsu, Mitel, ShoreTel and Voxitas. Thought leaders from the SIP Forum, VoIP Security Alliance (VOIPSA) and NeuStar/ENUM IETF will also participate.
