VocalTec Names Chen Porat Vice President for Sales

HERZLIA, Israel --(Business Wire)-- VocalTec Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq Capital Market: VOCL), a global provider of carrier-class multimedia and voice-over-IP solutions for communication service providers, announced today that Mr. Chen Porat will be joining the company as Vice President for Sales. Mr. Porat replaces Edu Meytal, who is leaving the Company after three years to pursue other opportunities.

Mr. Porat joins VocalTec from Comverse Technologies (Nasdaq: CMVT.PK), where he spent over nine years in various management positions, overseeing both product and sales related activities. Most recently, he led the Call Completion Business Unit, with a team of 60 people. Chen holds a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from the Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.
