Gradwell Reduces Peak VoIP Rate for Calling Mobile Phones
By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributing Editor
Gradwell, a company that specializes in VoIP solutions for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) recently reduced its peak VoIP rate for mobile calls—from 12p per minute to 10p per minute. The new rate went into effective Sept. 1.
The new competitive pricing is an effort by Gradwell to establish and strengthen its position as a VoIP provider for SMBs in the U.K.
”We are offering this cut to our customers calling mobiles served by the Big 5 because we are increasingly aware that the main cost that businesses are now concerned about are mobile call costs to these operators,” Peter had added.
The rate change represents a 16.6 percent reduction in calls made using Gradwell’s VoIP service to customers using wireless services from the U.K.’s top five providers—Vodafone ( News - Alert), Orange, O2, T-Mobile and Virgin Mobile.
For now, the peak rate for calling customers of provider 3 will remain the same, 18p per minute. For other mobile services, a rate of 25.5p per minutes applies. Off-peak calling to mobiles, though, is now 9p per minutes. Further weekend rates are now 6p per minute.
