telx to Present Conference Sessions at INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO West 2007

TMCnet News

Hunter Newby, chief strategy officer of telx, to discuss “The State of VoIP Peering” and “Carrier Hotels” at leading IP Communications industry event at Los Angeles Convention Center in September

New York, NY July 19, 2007— telx today announced that Hunter Newby, chief strategy officer, has accepted an invitation to present two sessions titled “The State of VoIP Peering” and “Carrier Hotels” on September 10 and September 11, 2007, respectively, at TMC’s (News - Alert) INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO West 2007 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, Calif.

INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO, to be held Sept. 10-12, is the world’s largest and best-attended IP Communications trade show. At the last ITEXPO, held January, 2007 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., the show drew over 7,100 buyers and sellers of IP Communications products and services. For the upcoming show in September, TMC projects an attendance of 7,500. More information on the event can be found at www.itexpo.com.

“We are honored to be chosen to provide an industry perspective on both VoIP Peering and the Carrier Hotel Market at the Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Conference,” Newby said. “Our business as a carrier neutral Meet Me Room and Core Interconnection Facility operator in thirteen markets provides us with a unique insight into the VoIP Peering (News - Alert) market, since many VoIP players choose telx as their Meet Me Room and Core Interconnection Facility because of the availability of VoIP Peering platforms and service providers. As a Carrier Hotel owner, and a company with deep relationships with other Carrier Hotels in part through membership in the Carrier Hotel Alliance (CHA), our observations and perspective in the space continue to evolve as the industry advances and new technology provides challenges to companies requiring Carrier Hotel and colocation services.”

“We are very pleased that Hunter Newby will be participating in this year’s show.  telx is widely recognized and respected as an industry leader, and I am confident that our attendees will appreciate and value the opportunity to hear his perspective on both VoIP Peering and Carrier Hotels,” said TMC president and conference chairman, Rich Tehrani. “Over the past twelve months, widespread deployment of IP Communications services by global service providers, businesses and governments has reinforced that this exciting technology is a viable, cost-effective communications solution.  As a result, we are seeing a significant number of senior-level executives attending INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO to learn more about the technology so they can make critical decisions affecting their own business.”

Registration for the show is now open. Anyone interested may register by visiting www.itexpo.com. Limited booth space is still available as well. Vendors interested in exhibiting at the show should contact Dave Rodriguez at 1-203-852-6800, ext. 146 or at [email protected].
