Gradwell Lowers VoIP Rates for Customers Calling Mobiles
By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributing Editor
Internet communications service provider Gradwell is stepping up its efforts to be a VoIP provider of choice for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in the UK. The company this week announced new, more competitive rates for its services.
Peter Gradwell, MD at Gradwell, said the company reduced its peak-rate mobile call charge from 12p per minute to 10p per minute. He believes this is a hefty price cut by any standard.
This 16.6 percent price cut applies to customers’ calls to mobile service providers Vodafone ( News - Alert), Orange, O2, T-Mobile and Virgin Mobile.
Customers can now enjoy Gradwell’s Offpeak service at 9p per minute (9ppm)—down from 10p--while the weekend rate is now 6ppm, a reduction from 7ppm. Although BT currently offers 5ppm rate during the weekends, that provides charges £1.50 every month for the service plus a minimum 3p connection charge.
Since 1998 Gradwell has provided a range of e-mail hosting, Web site hosting and Internet telephone services in the UK.
