Signaling a new era in video conferencing and video calls, Sasmung Electronics recently introduced two 22-inch monitors with VoIP
functionality at IFA 2007.
Yun Ho Ha, senior vice president of Samsung's (

Alert) Visual Display Division, said “These monitors with VoIP functions unveiled at this IFA exhibition will become a must-have item for individual users and enterprises in the global era.”
The pricing and availability of these two monitors is yet to be confirmed by the company. But Samsung has revealed that both offer high resolution of 1680x1050 and have USB hub functions. They will also have touch buttons and a glossy finish.

Alert) UC (Unified Communication) solution. You can also chat with traditional messenger systems such as MS Live Messenger and Skype, with the help of this monitor.
The other monitor, SyncMaster 220TN is embedded with simple networking modules which helps the user to make video calls even when they are not connected to a PC. They can make calls just by connecting to the LAN

Also, the user need not install additional equipment while they go online as SyncMaster 220TN has a built-in camera, microphone and speaker, and pre-installed software with which users can make conference and video calls.
These new Samsung monitors will be of great help for companies which have several overseas branches and need to make use of the VoIP calls. It will also help those whose family members stay in foreign countries to connect with each other.
With VoIP calls being the preferred method of calls for the new generation, we can expect more such products in the future from companies who want to explore the business opportunities available in this field.
