Qwest's Dan Yost to Keynote at IEC Communications Forums at NXTcomm

The International Engineering Consortium (IEC) is presenting its
communications forums, featuring an educational program at NXTcomm this
Monday in Chicago at the McCormick Place.
Dan Yost, executive vice president of product at Qwest Communications
International will headline the event with a keynote address.
"We're looking forward to service providers such as AT&T, BT Group,
Qwest and Verizon joining us here at the IEC Communications Forums
Monday at NXTcomm," said IEC President John Janowiak. "As always, we
expect great opportunities for industry professionals to network,
exchange information, generate business and learn from one another."
The IEC Communications Forums presented at NXTcomm offer a
comprehensive educational program covering the changing communications
environment. Focusing on IP infrastructure, the one-day program will
present many applications, including wireless and wireline for service
providers and enterprise users.
Topics include:
-- Web hosting and outsourcing -- IPTV and ROADM -- Convergence and
opening up IP networks to end users -- Optical networks, convergence
and security -- "Connected Space" debate -- IMS - challenges and
lessons learned -- WiMAX Mesh and open networks
Janowiak continued, "Keynoter Dan Yost owns 30 years of
telecommunications experience. Attendees will definitely gain from his
insight and expert understanding of the field."
Other industry leaders will lead discussions on issues surrounding
network transformations, services and content evolution and managing
the business.
