Director of Skype (News - Alert) Developers Program to Deliver Keynote Address at the World’s Only IP Communications Development Conference

Norwalk, CT, [April 23, 2007] — TMC (News - Alert) has announced that Paul Amery, director of the Skype Developer Program, will deliver a keynote address during the 4th Annual Communications Developer Conference (formerly known as the VoIP Developer Conference).

The Communications Developer Conference (www.commdeveloper.com) takes place May 14-17, 2007 at the Santa Clara Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara, Calif. Amery will speak at 11 a.m. (PDT), Wednesday, May 16. His address is open to all registered attendees.

“Skype is one of the world’s most visible IP communications companies and has helped bring IP Communications into the mainstream with their highly successful peer-to-peer IP telephony network,” said Rich Tehrani, TMC President and conference chairman. “I feel that the position the company is in gives them a great viewpoint of where we are headed and what to watch for as the IP market continues to thrive, which is why I will be in the front row to hear Paul Amery’s presentation at the Communications Developer Conference.”

As Director of the Skype Developer Program, Amery is responsible for helping independent third-party application developers succeed in working with Skype to create more usage and add more users. This is done through the delivery of a rich, evolving platform of APIs and supporting tools on top of the Skype client, a rapid route to market for third-party applications and a responsive support and education program, including the DevZone (developer.skype.com), developer newsletters and events.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to speak at the pre-eminent conference for communications developers,” Amery said. “I look forward to sharing information about the many opportunities that exist for developers to partner with Skype to create new Internet communications devices and software that will enable our community of over 196 million registered users to do more with Skype.”

Communications Developer Conference is the only event focusing on the needs of both companies and individuals creating new communications applications, devices, products and services. The event features three days of educational sessions, the aforementioned keynote speeches, two networking receptions, and an exhibit hall with as many as 50 exhibiting companies.

Registration for the show is now open. Anyone interested may register by visiting http://www.commdeveloper.com. Exhibit space and sponsorships are still available. Interested vendors should contact Dave Rodriguez: [email protected] or (203) 852-6800, ext. 146.
