VoIP Provider Vonage Names Haenggi Chief Marketing Officer
By Spencer D. Chin, TMCnet Web Editor
Vonage ( News - Alert) named Jamie Haenggi chief marketing officer, in the hope of spearheading a more unified marketing approach to help the troubled VoIP service company reverse its sinking fortunes.
Haenggi joined Vonage last November as vice president of Customer Life from ADT Security Services, where she was vice president of worldwide marketing. Prior to ADT, Haenggi served as head of marketing and acquisition integration at Holmes Protection, where she handled contract negotiations, sales and marketing, and setting up international distributors in Southeast Asia as well as providing sales and technical/installation training.
In her newly-created role at Vonage, Haenggi will oversee marketing, retail sales, and corporate communications.
“We’re launching an aggressive communications effort that positions Vonage head-to-head against the competition, and Jamie will provide new leadership for this exciting fresh direction,” said Jeff Citron, chairman and interim CEO of Vonage, in a statement.
Vonage continues to await a Court of Appeals decision on its patent dispute with Verizon ( News - Alert). The Court recently denied Vonage’s request to retry the case.
