BandTel to Present ITEXPO Session on SIP Trunking for High-volume Applications

Session Initiation Protocol ( News - Alert) (SIP ) technology was quickly adopted by the telecommunications industry because of its many benefits—such as short integration time and low implementation costs. As the technology matures, however, questions are being asked about its extended use.
As the title suggests, the session—scheduled for 3:30-4:15 on January 25, and presented by Peter Sandstrom, CTO at BandTel ( News - Alert)—will focus on a particularly hot topic in the SIP developer’s circle: the effect of Early Media (EM) on high volume dial applications.
Sandstrom will explain why BandTel considers it important to address EM in call center and other high-volume applications, and how SIP can further leverage the power of Internet telephony.
