Ron Insana, the anchor of the widely-watched CNBC show Street Signs, will speak at the Internet Telephony Conference and Expo on January 25th in Ft. Lauderdale.
A graduate with honors of California State University at Northridge, Insana has obtained two exclusive interviews with President George W. Bush to discuss the economy, Social Security reform and energy policy over the past two years.
Insana's views and insights into VoIP have not been widely aired, so this address is a special opportunity to hear what one of the most highly-respected business journalists today thinks about it.
He's a regular contributor to NBC's Today Show and The Nightly News with Brian Williams, as well as Imus in the Morning and Market Wrap on sister network MSNBC, and writes a popular monthly column for USA TODAY titled “Talking Business with Ron Insana." You also might have heard his nationally syndicated radio program, The Ron Insana Show, for Westwood One.
As chief of FNN's Los Angeles bureau, he was nominated for a Golden ACE Award for his role in covering the 1987 stock market crash. He was nominated for a News and Documentary Emmy Award as part of NBC’s coverage of 9/11, and in 1999, Insana was named one of the top 100 business news journalists of the century by TJFR Group.
Insana made news recently when he confronted Maryland Gov. Robert Ehrlich about claims that he had accepted fund-raising assistance from Wal-Mart, which the governor denied.
