Aculab Executive to Keynote INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO East 2006

TMCnet News

NORWALK, CT (January 12, 2006) -- Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC®) announces today that Chris Gravett, Aculab’s Sales & Marketing Director, has agreed to deliver a keynote address at its INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO East 2006, January 24-27, 2006 at the Fort Lauderdale–Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Mr. Gravett’s address, which is open to all registered attendees, will take place Wednesday, January 25th at 4:30pm EST. Registration for the conference is now open at http://www.itexpo.com.

INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO, held since 1999, is the world’s largest and best-attended VoIP trade show.  Last October, INTERNET TELEPHONY Fall 2005 attracted over 7,000 buyers and sellers of IP Telephony products and services to the Los Angeles Convention Center.  For this upcoming January show, TMC projects total attendance to exceed 8,500.

“The companies that are involved in enabling VoIP solutions to be built should be of special interest to everyone in the VoIP value-chain. As a company supplying VoIP enabling technology, Aculab has a panoramic view of what is being developed in the market. This group of companies can tell you where IP communications is headed with a larger certainty than even many researchers. It is for this reason it is worthwhile for everyone to hear Aculab’s unique global perspective on the VoIP market,” explained TMC President Rich Tehrani.

Chris Gravett was appointed to the board of Aculab in 1997. His initial experience was gained at British Telecom, after which he moved into management - initially at Rank Xerox where he held a number of positions over a ten year period, then to Mitel Telecom. Prior to joining Aculab, Chris was a director at Mitel's EMEA switching division.

“VoIP has changed the landscape of telecommunications beyond recognition over recent years. During this presentation I will ask the question, "VoIP, the beginning of the end, or a new beginning? And will answer the question from the perspective of a track record in telephony as opposed to a new entrant,” said Gravett.
In addition to Chris Gravett’s appearance, INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO East 2006 features keynotes by Tom Ridge, CNBC anchor Ron Insana and executives from IBM, Cisco, AT&T, Pingtel, General Motors, Digium, Avaya, Covad, Quintum, Nortel, Level 3, Netcentrex, Interactive Intelligence, Time Warner Telecom, AudioCodes and Expedient Systems.
Registration for the conference and trade show is now open: http://www.itexpo.com. Vendors interested in exhibiting or sponsoring should contact Dave Rodriguez immediately at 1-203-852-6800, ext. 146 or e-mail drodriguez@tmcnet.com.

Press inquiries regarding Chris Gravett’s address can be directed to Mostafa Razzak at 23-31 Communications: (646) 442-3361 or email m.razzak@23-31.com.
