Forum Systems has announced that the Forum XWall Web Services Firewall has achieved certified integration with HP’s OpenView SOA Manager software. The integration will enable the OpenView to provide controls to monitor and manage deployed instances of Forum XWall and Forum Sentry at reduced administrative costs. It will also ensure real-time updates of policy changes.
The integration is intended to offer customers the ability to collect information gathered by Forum enforcement points to access root cause and business impact analysis, as well as uphold service level agreements and accelerate service contract lifecycles.
The integrated solution manages SOA and Web services using centralized security policy management and administration. It also offers advanced XML threat protection and high performance XML message handling and processing capabilities. The solution supports Web services security standards and specifications, and also offers distributed monitoring of run-time and design-time configurations.
The XWall integrated solution is available on 32-bit and 64-bit appliances in addition to software certified on HP hardware with the Linux and Windows operating systems. It is part of a line of real-time policy enforcement and vulnerability assessment products for SOAs.
"We believe HP's broad portfolio of hardware and software offerings places them in a strong position to be successful in the SOA market place," said Wes Swenson, CEO and president of Forum Systems. "Having Forum's products work with HP OpenView SOA Manager allows our customers to leverage their existing assets and get the highest return on investments."
"We're pleased to be working with Forum Systems to extend the capabilities of HP OpenView portfolio," said Yale Tankus, vice president, partnerships and alliances, OpenView Business Unit, HP. "Through the integration with HP OpenView SOA Manager we're able to provide customers with a solution that brings together leading SOA monitor, management and policy enforcement."
