Voicemail Made Easier with Business VoIP By TMCnet Special Guest Today’s working world moves faster than ever. And in a face-paced business environment, few people want to deal with the pains and hassles of dialing their voicemail boxes, punching in a pin number, and finally sifting through unimportant messages just to get to that one voicemail from a colleague or client.
Furthermore, if they happen to be one of the many who do not check their voicemail every day, the messages can pile up. Having to sit through a couple of days of voicemails can test anyone’s patience. Just taking the time to delete all of the old messages can become an unwelcome frustration. By using a business VoIP service, a company can make life much easier for their employees. Many business VoIP providers offer a voicemail-to-email feature, which forwards employee voicemails from their voicemail boxes to their email accounts. Employees receive an email telling them how long the voicemail is, and more importantly, who it is from. They can then decide whether to download the message and listen to it or ignore it. With business VoIP, your work voicemail box can be accessed anywhere you have Internet, whether its on your personal laptop, your netbook, or your smartphone.
Business VoIP provider OnSIP takes it one step further with their my.OnSIP unified communications user interface. OnSIP users can see all of their voicemail messages under a designated voicemail tab in a browser-based application. Employees receive valuable information in the interface, including the identity of the caller and the length of the message. Listening to the messages is as easy as clicking the play button. There is an even a button that deletes messages from voicemail boxes. In addition to being a message center, my.OnSIP also includes call control, presence management, and corporate IM.
