Comarch and T-Systems Team Up To Offer Consolidated OSS Solution

Comarch, a software house and systems integrator that provides billing systems to telecos, and T-Systems, a division of Deutsche Telekom (News - Alert) and provider of information and communication technology (ICT) solutions, have announced they will market a consolidated and comprehensive suite of Operational Support Systems (OSS).

 

The integrated solution will offer a closed loop, full-blown OSS environment of deluxe functionalities. It will support mobile operators in planning access and backbone networks.

 

As part of the new launch, Comarch (News - Alert) will incorporate PegaPlan, a T-Systems planning solution, into its OSS Suite.

 

Comarch OSS suite will be enriched by a number of new functionalities. They include a new equipment planning based on geographical and coverage maps, building and bringing new sites into the operation, planning radio parameters (NE components, neighboring, handovers) and frequency planning for Radio Access Network (RAN) including the latest Long Term Evolution (LTE (News - Alert)) technologies as well as the planning of new backbone capacity.

 

The enhanced OSS Suite will act as a tool to augment the market position of its users through improved resource planning and usage, the company said. Comarch OSS fully supports change management processes through the planning, execution and reconciliation of network changes.

 

It also improves operations by improving the management of network resources and maintaining up-to-date information about the network throughout the entire planning and fulfillment process.

 

The integrated solution, enables operators to close the gap between planning and operational processes which helps close the loop, and shorten the flow from planning, through execution, monitoring, optimization, and back to planning, officials said.

Comarch announced the latest versions of Comarch Interconnect Billing and Comarch Wholesale Billing with IPX billing modules at the Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) in Barcelona.The new solutions are designed for telecommunication service providers that conduct settlements according to Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA (News - Alert)) recommendations for network and IPX, officials said.
