PANDUIT Intros High-Speed Transport Solution

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributing Editor

PANDUIT has released the TX6A 10GIG Copper Cabling System, a next-generation end-to-end Category 6A UTP system, which provides significant margin on all 10GBASE-T electrical parameters with improved alien crosstalk performance, delivering superior overall channel performance over a slimmer UTP cable.

By utilizing the patent pending matrix tape technology in the cable and advanced connector compensation techniques, the new launch easily achieves channel bandwidth performance above industry standard requirements.

The unique design of the TX6A 10GIG system reduces the weight and diameter of Category 6A UTP cables. The reduction results in the improvement of pathway capacity up to 30 percent for improved airflow through dense data center enclosures without compromising alien crosstalk performance.

PANDUIT (News - Alert) officials explain that the complete system yields overall channel performance in the highest density physical infrastructure environments (48 ports in a 1RU space). The system easily achieves 10Gb/s performance and also eliminates the time and cost of burdensome alien crosstalk testing.

Jack Tison, vice president Research and Development, PANDUIT explained that the till now the existing adopters of Category 6A technologies had to work with cabling vendors and integrators to overcome installation and management challenges associated with thicker cable designs.

The company has designed the PANDUIT TX6A system to overcome these challenges, which reduces operational risk in the data center and empowers organizations to achieve strategic goals.

Because PANDUIT’s TX6A 10GIG Copper Cabling System can support all demanding configurations from a long (100 m) four-connector channel to a short (3 m) two-connector permanent link, it enables a variety of data center architectures and applications.

The system delivers other benefits as well: it allows for co-mingling with Category 5e and 6 cables while providing a clear migration path from 1000BASE-T to 10GBASE-T applications. Moreover, the new release also supports advanced PoE applications at extended operating temperatures.
