Elitecore Partners with BroVis for Network Monitoring and Management

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Elitecore Technologies, a provider of customized software development, application development and network integration solutions, announced it has joined hands with broadband wireless infrastructure systems manufacturer BroVis Wireless Networks to offer an integrated network management solution catering to the growing market demand.

Elitecore offers the solution by integrating its billing and bandwidth management solution product 24online with BroVis’ network management system (NMS).

The new solution provides time and usage-based Internet access to Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX (News - Alert)) and Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) service providers, broadband and dial-up service providers, hotels, hotspots and cafes.

“24online is a one stop solution embedded with loads of core features like RADIUS, NAS and Billing management,” said Nikhil Jain, COO and director, Elitecore Technologies (News - Alert) told TMCnet.

24online can be easily deployed in any network configuration and integrated with third party billing component as well. It is provided with in-built Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) functionalities and offers dedicated leased-line support and subscriber portal redirection, Jain continued.

BroVis provides a complete infrastructure solutions for global service providers and enterprises using WiMAX (802.16e) and WiFi (News - Alert) (802.11 a/b/g/n) standards.

“Network management solutions from BroVis would prove to be a complementary component for the overall solution,” Jain said. “By integrating the NMS, we would be in a position to provide single interface for hospitality admin, subscribers’ management, billing, Wi-Fi and network management.”

Jain explained, “BroVis NMS provides the interface to monitor and manage Brovis application programming interfaces (APIs). From a 24online Management graphic user interface (GUI) console itself, the administrator can monitor and manage status of distributed Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) in the network."

The integration between 24online billing and Brovis WAP for monitoring and management will benefit customers by reducing the technical complexity for configuration, as well as providing easy troubleshooting and deployment.

Talking about the future plans of the company, Jain told TMCnet that the company is focusing on hospitality market in a big way. The company is now waiting for the certification from Micro Fidelio/Opera for 24online. As soon as it procures it, it will launch the solution worldwide and appoint more partners and distributors in different countries especially for hospitality industry.

Also, Elitecore has started capturing big networks of service providers and telecom operators. The new solution is more scalable to take the load of 10K+ online subscribers, so 24online can handle the network of 100K subscribers, Jain added.

Apart from the hospitality sector and service provider customers, the company is also seeking to provide the service at various service apartments, educational institutions, hostels and college campuses and WiMAX Networks, Jain concluded.
