Bangla Trac Communications Deploys Veraz I-Gate 4000 PRO Solution

Veraz Networks, a provider of Multimedia Generation Network (MGN) application, control, and bandwidth optimization products, said it has been selected by Bangla Trac Communications, a provider of international gateway services, to provide bandwidth optimization solution. 

 

Veraz offers Veraz I-Gate 4000 PRO high-density bandwidth optimization system to interconnect Bangla Trac Communication sites in London, Hong Kong and Dhaka. The advanced voice and signaling compression technology enables the I-Gate 4000 family of bandwidth optimization systems to maintain high voice quality with high bandwidth compression rates, the company said.

 

The I-Gate 4000 PRO supports both Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) and Internet Protocol (IP) transmission infrastructure and can be used in static trunking and switched applications.

 

Bangla Trac Communications is a new entrant in the telecom sector of Bangladesh as a licensed IGW. The company won the license for the international gateway in February 2008. This license enables Bangla Trac Communications to act as one of the four licensed operators who can route incoming and outgoing international calls to and from Bangladesh.

 

“Veraz’s I-Gate 4000 PRO provides Bangla Trac with a flexible platform for interconnecting our international PoPs,” said Nazim Haque, chairman of Bangla Trac Communications, in the statement. “The high compression rates achievable with the I-Gate 4000 PRO enable Bangla Trac to offer high quality voice services while minimizing the cost of our network.”
