No PC Needed: QuickPhones and G-Tek Enable Free Calling from AnywhereBy Michelle Robart, TMCnet Editor QuickPhones and G-Tek Electronics have joined forces to provide affordable, turn-key WiFi (News - Alert) and VoIP business solutions, freeing customers from the confinement of their computers when placing Internet calls.
Thanks to this new partnership between the two companies, QuickPhones customers will be able to make wireless Internet calls from anywhere – including from another state, and even from another country. In addition, customers will not have to pay any local telephone service or wireless service provider charges.
“We want to give people the freedom to carry on their business and personal needs without tying them to their personal computer or office,” said Lee Smith, founder and CEO of QuickPhones.
“We’re freeing them from their computers and saving them money at the same time.”
“One trip to another country or overseas can more than pay for the WiFi phone itself or even an entire WiFi home or business solution,” added Smith.
According to G-Tek Electronics’ Vice President of Product Management, Andrew Blakely, WiFi phones are ideal for using with appropriate access points in most homes, offices, campuses, or public locations that provide WiFi Internet access.
“This partnership with QuickPhones takes the complexity out of WiFi and VoIP system deployments while enabling customers to make simple, no-cost calls – regardless of their geographic location,” he explained. “Since the QuickPhones program allows end users to obtain these no-cost calling phones and systems at affordable prices, this strategy is fresh, focused, and profitable for everyone.”
QuickPhones was established to give small business entrepreneurs affordable, easy-to-use phone systems.
