By Raju Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributing Editor
The SIPdev.org Developer Community’s open source framework and open access service creation environment (SCE) from Pactolus Communications (News - Alert) has received the “Best of Show Award” for Open Source products at Technology Marketing Corporation’s INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference and EXPO West 2008. Pactolus Communications is the maker of the industry’s most broadly-deployed SIP applications and service creation/delivery solutions.
Featured in the Exhibit Hall during the event, the ITEXPO (News - Alert) Best of Show Award recognizes innovative products and solutions. A full list of the winners is posted on TMC’s Web site at www.tmcnet.com.
With this award, SIPdev.org’s freely available service creation environment for its unique power and flexibility was recognized. TMC (News - Alert) has also recognized the support provided by the company for new levels of feature innovation and service breadth. A foundation for unique services now successfully deployed by Tier 1 and innovative service providers, the SIPdev SCE does not require advanced mastery of C++, Java or protocols such as SIP and DIAMETER.
Processing 3-4 billion Minutes-of-Use (MOU) monthly in 140+ service provider NGN networks worldwide, Pactolus is a major player in the service provider hosted SIP/IMS-based applications domain. The customizable turnkey services provided by the company include residential/business Class 5 VoIP, large operator-assisted event and reservation-less audio conferencing, prepaid/post paid services and voice messaging.
“Outstanding participant companies like Pactolus Communications Software with their award winning service creation and turnkey services solutions help to validate ITEXPO's status as the leading forum for the VoIP and IP communications industry,” said TMC President and Conference Chairman, Rich Tehrani (News - Alert).
Don’t forget to check out TMCnet’s White Paper Library, which provides a selection of in-depth information on relevant topics affecting the IP Communications industry. The library offers white papers, case studies and other documents which are free to registered users. Today’s featured white paper is Fixed Service Strategies for Mobile Network Operators, brought to you by Comverse (News - Alert).
