Telesis Intros Two Hybrid IP PBX Systems for SMBs

By Arvind Arora, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Telesis A.S., a company that provides solutions for Central Office, Rural, Tandem, Signaling Converter, ISDN PBX (News - Alert), and IP Telephony applications, today announced the launch PX24U and PX24M Hybrid IP PBX Business Phone Systems for small and medium-sized business seeking to adopt VoIP.

In the PX24U and PX24M Phone systems, analog subscribers and trunks are available, equipped with caller ID, as well as 48 Vdc feed for analog subscribers to drive long loops, according to the company. Also, 2-wire digital subscribers, Euro ISDN BRI ports, as well as SIP and H.323 support/integration are being offered in the new solutions by Telesis. The digital voice recorder integrated into the systems has a capacity of 100 hours, company officials say.

Mumin GULER, deputy general manager at Telesis A.S., said that the SMB enterprises may like to migrate to IP PBX systems with keeping benefits of the traditional Time-Division Multiplexing interfaces, but they shall also expect their new IP endpoints not to be complicated, hence they may prefer these looking like their traditional TDM users.

Mumin added that the PX24U and PX24M Hybrid IP PBX Business Phone Systems by Telesis have been designed as very integrated systems, as these systems are capable of inter-working between all their IP and TDM users, as many TDM user services are also valid for IP endpoints. Hence, the enterprises relying upon these systems are in comfort of both VoIP and traditional services.

Mumin said that apart from this, the company has included a number of hardware and software features in our new systems, some of these features being Integrated CDR (call records) buffer, Integrated DVR (digital voice recorder) with 100 hours capacity, Conversation recording capability, Integrated Voice Mail, Integrated Automatic Call Distributor, Integrated Signaling / Protocol Analyzer, Integrated Web server in various languages, Integrated API server for unlimited number of Clients, Integrated H.323 gatekeeper for up to 160 VoIP users, and Integrated SIP registrar for up to 160 VoIP users.
