MASERGY Intros Secure, Remote Access Service That Eases VoIPBy Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributing Editor MASERGY (News - Alert), a global service provider specializing in simplifying business networks for enterprises, announced today that it’s launched its Managed Remote Access in the Cloud service for enterprise customers.
The solution simplifies remote access for customers, telecommuters and partners by offering access to corporate files, applications and resources through an easy–to–use portal from a standard Web browser, according to the company.
With the solution, customers can experience the benefits of SSL VPN Remote Access without considerable capital and operating expense and without reconfiguration of the corporate network and applications, officials say.
MASERGY’s offer enables enterprises to reap the benefits of SSL VPN without the headache of owning, maintaining and monitoring the typical hardware, software and licenses, company officials say.
“MASERGY is committed to offering advanced network-embedded solutions. To supplement our successful Service Control Center and Network Analyst products, we now offer this customizable Remote Access solution to enterprises requiring secure, mobile access to the network,” said Scott Brothers, director of product management at MASERGY. “With the Managed Remote Access in the Cloud service, enterprise employees working remotely are also protected by the security and reliable performance of the MASERGY network.”
Since the Remote Access solution is embedded in the MASERGY MPLS network, the connection is 100-percent secure and offers remote users a virtual office from any location, officials say. Users can make VoIP phone calls and participate in video conferences, company officials say, and also, company intranet, extranets and network file folders are as accessible as if the user was sitting at his desk.
