Aastra Telecom Intros New SIP-based IP PBX

AastraLink Pro meets the unique requirements of the small businesses, allowing users to get phones up and running by simply plugging the system into an existing local area network (LAN
). This neither requires the services of an installation technician nor are there any hidden application license and user costs.
Offering a complete, integrated and affordable standards-based system for the SMB market and channel, this IP-based PBX
provides a flexible infrastructure for companies. Compared to other small business phone systems, it also provides a lower total cost of ownership, according to Aastra.

AastraLink Pro provides standard PBX/Key system features and functionality, along with new IP-based services such as visual voicemail delivered via XML
, SIP trunking, auto discovering and self provisioning of extensions, remote teleworker, the ability to network multiple AastraLink Pro's via IP and expanded user control via a web GUI. The AastraLink Pro also supports up to 6 PSTN FXO trunks, 2 FXS Analog ports and 1 SIP trunk plus external paging port and a music input port and it is designed to be compatible with select Aastra SIP phones.
