Papa Gino's Picks MegaPath To Connect Restaurants

By Stefania Viscusi, TMCnet Assistant Editor

Papa Gino's, the company that owns Papa Gino's Pizzeria and D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches restaurants, which serve more than 50 million guests each year, has chosen MegaPath (News - Alert) for high-speed data communications for its 300-company owned restaurants

With MegaPath's MPLS-based Broadband VPN service, Papa Gino's will have secure communications capabilities and the ability to deploy new bandwidth-intensive and performance-sensitive applications.

Papa Gino's will specifically utilize MegaPath for critical applications like Web-based ordering, Point-of-Sale systems and credit card processing to ensure they are operating properly and meeting critical regulations.

"As we begin implementing the latest applications to maximize guest satisfaction, we are looking to MegaPath to deliver the superior reliability and performance required to ensure that our customer data is safe, while also gaining the greatest value from our IT investments," said Paul Valle, CIO at Papa Gino's, Inc. "We anticipate MegaPath's fully managed MPLS Broadband VPN Service will help ensure that we are exceeding our guests' expectations."

Using MegaPath's web-based Customer Portal, Papa Gino's will also be able to more easily manage the network and will have complete visibility and control over its services.

"MegaPath is becoming the provider of choice for many companies that are looking to increase customer satisfaction, improve productivity and reduce overhead by deploying reliable and secure communication services to support their strategic online and in-store IT initiatives," said James Cragg, President and COO of MegaPath. "Papa Gino's and D'Angelo are taking a proactive approach to engaging its customers and implementing the latest solutions to improve its ordering, POS and credit card processing, and MegaPath is ensuring that these applications are able to deliver on their promised performance."
