Mitel's Global Business on the Rise

As the businesses come to better understand and appreciate the benefits of IP Communications, the word is quickly spreading from the mainstream markets to the rest of the world. This is, of course, largely due to the potential cost savings of VoIP communications, but also the process enhancements IP technology offers.
It’s no secret that one of the burgeoning markets in the communications arena of late in the Latin American region as a whole, and many IP solutions vendors have made a distinct move to grow their presence in the region.
Unified Communications ( News - Alert) solution vendor Mitel is among those, and it has considerable success to show for its efforts — according to reports, it experienced the fastest growth rate in the IP PBX market in Mexico last year. Specifically, according to research conducted by Select Estrategia, S.C., Mitel’s ( News - Alert) Mexico operation grew by 60 percent over 2006 in terms of the number of shipments.
Mitel’s flagship product, its 3300 ICP, is a scalable IP PBX ( News - Alert) that provides all the features and functionality businesses expect from their next generation communications platforms, including facilitating Unified Communications features to enhance the capabilities of a mobile workforce.
“Our growth reflects the success we have had in business communications, contact centers, and vertical markets as a result of the extensive experience and tailored solutions we bring to the market,” explained Mario Vázquez Santamarina, general manager of Mitel Mexico.
Indeed, despite its focus on developing solutions to meet the needs of a wide range of businesses, Mitel has also expended considerable resources developing its products to meet the exacting demands of specific verticals, including healthcare, education, hospitality, retail, financial services, government, manufacturing, and more.
By focusing on specific vertical needs, Mitel has been able to effectively adapt its solutions to enhance productivity, increase customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and help create new revenue streams at businesses of all sizes in a variety of industries. It is that flexibility that has guided its growth in not only Mexico, but its worldwide presence in general.
