One of the magic aspects of Christmas is the strong belief that children have in a jolly old elf that somehow fits through our chimneys to leave piles of toys under our trees. In an effort of keeping this belief in tact and helping children to remain ‘kids’ as long as possible, parents often try to ensure that what is under the tree on Christmas morning is exactly what their children requested of Santa.
To assist parents with this task, 800PBX, a provider of Virtual PBX

and toll-free numbers, is now offering a free courtesy service, SantaCalls. With this service, Santa will call kids and ask them for their wishes. This wish is then recorded and sent to parents via e-mail. The recording can also be shared.
Parents can designate the time of the call, as well as customize a message or select a prerecorded Santa message. Children’s wishes are captured and parents have the option to share them with the 800PBX community. For a limited time, the best recording will receive a free gift and the first “Happy Christmas” call from Santa himself. The service is available completely free of cost.
"Giving it for free using our existing technology and passing the donations directly to charity organizations working towards the education of children in developing countries prompted us to do this" adds Manohar Chapalamadugu, CEO of the company, in a Thursday statement.
"We hope that the parents see the value in our offering and share their happiness with the underprivileged in other parts of the world."
Parents must register for the free service at
http://www.800pbx.com/santa-toll-free.php. They will be prompted to provide the email address to deliver the recorded wish list. Santa will call at the designated time from "North Pole" and talk to the child and ask for his or her wishes.
"Our customers knew us only for our advanced virtual-pbx technology which provides telephony needs for thousands of businesses for under $15/month with a free toll free number and 150 minutes." said Sreedhar Ambati, the Chief Technology Officer, in Thursday’s statement.
"Customers will see many more voice driven value added products in the future from 800PBX," he adds.
This free service is a great publicity tool for 800PBX who can gain additional attention and brand building benefits. In addition, the service is also likely to brighten the day for many children. And good business or not, that has to make even scrooge smile.
