ERF Wireless and Latens Systems Join Forces to Offer FTTH Systems

ERF Wireless, a provider of enterprise-class wireless and broadband products and services, and Latens Systems ( News - Alert), a supplier of software security solutions for Pay-TV and IPTV , have announced a working collaboration that will see the two companies cooperate to provide advanced, secure fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) systems for projects in the international marketplace.
ERF Wireless ( News - Alert) is expected to offer Latens Conditional Access solutions content and revenue protection as part of the systems provides its FTTH clients, to ensure they receive highly secure and flexible, yet cost-effective, FTTH systems.

Cubley expects that by drawing on the experience and expertise that Latens possesses, his company can supply clients in the international marketplace with the highest standards possible.
“The design and development of secure FTTH systems is an important step forward for ERF Wireless, and complements our own CryptoVue product that provides secure connectivity for more general wired and wireless data networks. We are pleased that Latens will be part of this expanded capability,” he explained.
According to both the companies, Latens smartcard-less conditional access (CA ( News - Alert)) solutions offer a large amount of flexibility to meet an FTTH operator’s specific business needs. As Latens solution is fully upgradeable without causing disruption to existing services, the operator is allowed to choose to deploy only currently relevant CA components.
“The relationship between ERF Wireless and Latens is further evidence of the confidence that major systems integrators have in our CA protection technology.
