Blue Networks Launches Channel-Based VOIP Origination
By Niladri Sekhar Nath, TMCnet Contributing Editor
Blue Networks, Inc. is all set to introduce channel-based Voice Over IP Origination Service. Under the service, channels can be shared across all phone numbers on the customer's account. Each channel costs $5.95 per month, and US phone numbers are $1 per month along with a $1 one-time setup fee.
Each channel allows unlimited incoming calls and gives customers the option to have callers hear a busy signal when all channels are in use or switch to a usage-based fee of 1.1 cents per minute.
The company claims that the channel can accept traffic from Seattle and London on a single account and provides customers with the freedom to add channels to their account anytime, 24 hours per day.
"Channel services allow our corporate customers to predict, and thus control costs associated with their origination services," said Jed Stafford, President of Blue Networks, Inc.
According to the news release, Blue has plans to introduce this product in approximately 15,000 rate centers across the United States and the United Kingdom.
Blue has carrier-grade facilities throughout the United States, Western Europe, Japan and Australia in addition to offering VOIP services via SIP and other industry standard protocols.
