VoIP Provider Fusion Telecom Launches Mobilink

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Fusion Telecommunications has launched Mobilink, a revolutionary new service that enables subscribers to access its retail Efonica VoIP services from their mobile phones, without Internet access or special software.

Subscribers can use Mobilink to enjoy the low cost and excellent quality of VoIP from their mobile phones. Their Efonica member status can automatically be authenticated by simply dialing an access number, which allows them to call virtually any number in the world, at savings of up to 80 per cent compared to their mobile carriers.

Currently Mobilink is available to US subscribers and will soon be introduced in Middle Eastern countries where Efonica’s services are accessible. With the new service users can call any in-network Efonica subscriber worldwide for free by simply dialing ‘10,’ the Worldwide Internet Area Code, prior to the registered phone number of the called party.

Subscribtion to Mobilink can be done by visiting Efonica’s website and completing an easy registration process. Mobilink subscribers can also access Efonica’s full suite of VoIP solutions.

Roger Karam, president of Fusion’s VoIP division and CEO of Efonica, expressed his excitement to offer this unique new service, which allows every Efonica subscriber, even those with only the free service, to receive calls on Efonica from mobile and landline callers anywhere in the world.

Karam believes that a free in-network calling option will significantly increase savings for subscribers making international calls.

A wider range of consumers will enjoy the benefits of VoIP with Mobilink. Consumers who use mobile phones as their primary communications device can retain their usual calling habits while offering excellent quality and cost savings.

“With this new service, Fusion is taking another step at bringing families, friends and business associates closer together,” concluded Karam in a press release.

Efonica’s products and services can work on wireless, broadband and dial-up Internet connections, and, with Mobilink, are now available even without Internet access.

Fusion currently provides services to consumers, corporations, international carriers, government entities, and Internet service providers in over 100 countries. Fusion provides its Efonica branded VoIP, Internet access, and other Internet services to, from, in and between markets worldwide including emerging markets in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
